Pasco County Schools
As one of the fastest growing counties in Florida, Pasco County is committed to providing the influx of students and families with education that is not only first class, but applicable in today's technologically advanced world. Several years ago, the Pasco County School District created a vision for the future, a vision of creating an educational community, functioning together, to allow students to excel. This concept produced the current Pasco County educational plan, entitled Pasco's Vision: A Community of Connected Schools.
Pasco County has initiated such educational concepts as: the integration of career preparation in their academic programs, a continuous progress system, and use of the latest in technology to ensure that students are not only aware, but familiar with their use.
Pasco County is mindful of its working parents, and the PLACE program was founded with their interests in mind. PLACE stands for Pasco Learning & Activity Centers of Entertainment. Students up to grade 5 are eligible for the program, which cares for children that must arrive at school early or stay late. As this program is self supporting, there is a cost per child to the parent.
There are a variety of private schools located in Pasco County. If religious run schools are in your plans, Pasco County offers schools that are Baptist, Catholic, Christian, Lutheran, Nazarene, Seventh-Day Adventist and Non-Denominational.
